2021 Student Organization of Character, Sioux City East HS Student Council
The Sioux City East High Student Council launched a project during the COVID-19 pandemic called Bickford Buddies, a partnership with the Bickford Senior Living Center that improved the well-being of senior citizens and the high school students alike. To help the residents of Bickford Senior Living Center combat loneliness and isolation, Sioux City East High Student Council students drew pictures on the sidewalks, played musical instruments, sang songs through open windows, wrote letters, played virtual bingo, delivered care packages, and performed pep assemblies.
