C’era una volta un cane che stava attraversando un ponte. Camminava allegramente mentre stringeva tra i denti un bell’osso. Ad un tratto, vide la sua immagine riflessa nell’acqua del fiume.
Sorpreso, si fermò a guardare. Il cane non riconobbe la sua immagine e la scambiò per un altro cane con un osso in bocca.
Allora, avidamente, spalancò la bocca cercando di rubare l’osso al suo riflesso. Così facendo, però, lasciò andare il suo osso, che cadde nel fiume perdendosi tra le onde.
Ed è così che il cane perse il suo osso, restando a bocca asciutta.

La morale della favola? chi troppo vuole, nulla stringe.
