I am all about easing into the new year this year!

Join me and my husband Chip for chill New Year's Day walk in the the woods and learn a little bit more about one of Chip's passions: forest therapy. If you're seeking peace in 2024, this is for you.

In addition to his work as the head of Student Life at SUNY Geneseo, Chip is also a certified forest therapy guide and life coach. Bottom line: he loves to help other people. You can learn more and connect with Chip on his website or drop him a line on Instagram.

We did a first day hike at Letchworth State Park, part of the New York State parks system, which is celebrating its centennial in 2024. Letchworth is often called The Grand Canyon of the East.

On this day, we enjoyed The ANT or the Autism Nature Trail, a unique and accessible path near the park's Humphrey Nature Center. It's open to anyone and everyone. Their website (https://autismnaturetrail.com) is under construction as of this writing but you can also learn more about it here: https://www.gowyomingcountyny.com/aut...

The stewards of The ANT are dedicated to ensuring everyone can enjoy the beautiful surroundings in a park consistently rated best in the United States.

About me:

I'm Kate Welshofer. I'm 49 and left my job as a TV news anchor after 27 years to create a life I truly love.

I first started making videos 10 years ago and it changed my life. You can see the whole story here:    • (NOT SO) DRUNK HISTORY: MY YOUTUBE STORY//...

YouTube has always been a joyful outlet and I'm excited to be excited to make videos again as I document this new chapter of my life and just rediscover the fun of making weird stuff.

Thank you for being here.

*Old disclaimer* New here? I'm Kate. I make these videos to entertain myself. If you like them? Great. If not, well, there's at least some Internet left. You'll probably find something else to watch.
