On June 7, crews from Tutor-Perini/Zachry/Parsons began placing the first of 20 pre-cast concrete girders at the Central Avenue Grade Separation in Fresno County. The longest girder was more than 113 feet long and weighed more than 109,000 lbs. All girders have now been set to form the superstructure. When complete, Central Avenue Grade Separation will be 432-feet long and will take traffic over the existing railroad and future high-speed rail tracks.
