The Center for Inclusive Computing (CIC) works with computing departments across the United States to implement systemic changes that broaden participation in computing. These strategies fall into three areas: 1) changes to the introductory computing sequence; 2) improvements to student support, and 3) changes to the computing major.
This video provides an overview of the kinds of changes CIC partner schools have made changes to the major. These include: BA and BS options at Florida International University, interdisciplinary computing degrees at Northeastern University, and reduced curricular complexity (including math and science requirements) at Colorado State University.
