Head Stud Repair! on “1971 Super Beetle”
Baja is back(kinda) just in time for summer!
If not one thing it’s another. When checking valves I found 2 head stud nuts loose. Looking closer I found the studs had pulled out of the case. Finding a solution that was easy and will hold over the engine until a rebuild. I used a bigger 10mm self tapping stud. It had its challenges but was able to get both in. Next is to button up the engine and start driving again!
