The reasons micro-organisms are used in Biotechnology are enumerated and usefulness of Biotechnology in areas such as in Bread making, Production of biofuel, Production of Enzymes, Fruit juice production, Washing powder production, Production of lactose free dairy and Production of drugs e g Penicillin listed. The processes involved in production of common bio-products like biofuel, fruit juice, biological washing powder, bread, antibiotics etc are explained in the video as well. Important enzymes such as lipase, protease, pectinase and microbes used in the processes of making these bio product are given and their functions stated in simple terms.
This video also have past questions from WAEC, GCE, NECO, UTME, POST-UTME to help student's mastery of topic and can be used as teaching aid by Biology subject teachers.
