Never had it so good: Morning in the Streets
Morning in the Streets is a famous BBC television documentary, directed by Denis Mitchell and Roy Harris for the BBC Northern Film Unit, and first broadcast on 25 March 1959. The Radio Times billing describes it as "An impression of life and opinion in the backstreets of a Northern City in the morning." It was filmed in Liverpool, Manchester and Salford; Thomas Henderson's score was specially composed. The film won the Prix Italia for best television documentary.
