2010 Budget response from Vincent Cable
In his response to Alistair Darling's pre-election budget (transmitted 26 March 2010), Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesperson Vince Cable is unable to resist literally saying "I told you so" over the large budget deficit, but adds his prescription for the way forward. It is one which did not match up with the approach the Liberal Democrats ended up implementing in coalition with the Conservatives.
