Join GSWPA Girl Program Specialist Samantha McGuigan live as we complete another virtual patch program together—Nature Fun! Our Virtual Patch Programming helps kids continue to learn while schools are closed, and you don't need to be a Girl Scout to participate—it’s for everyone!
We'll be making a nature kit and two bird feeders!
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Nature Kit:
Shoe box or other container to hold supplies
Notebook, journal, or paper
Pencil/pen
Plastic cup
Plastic wrap
Scissors
Water
Plastic water bottle
Rubber bands
Choose at least one bird feeder to earn the patch, but you're welcome to do both:
Bird Feeder 1:
Pine cone or sticks
Softened fat such as unsalted peanut butter or shortening
Birdseed or plain oats
String or twine
Bird Feeder 2:
Half an orange (with insides removed – ask a parent for help!)
Birdseed or oats
String or twine
HOW TO GET THE PATCH: The Nature Fun patch can be purchased from our GSWPA shops for $1.25 by completing our Online Patch Order Form found at gswpa.org/patchorderform. Fun patches can be worn on the back of Girl Scout's vest or sash.
