Pułtusk meteorite hunt 2024
The largest meteorite shower in recorded history occurred on January 30, 1868, near Pułtusk. A total of 70,000 meteorites likely fell to Earth, of which approximately 10,000 were found. Today, Pułtusk meteorites are found in almost all meteorite collections worldwide. Pułtusk meteorites are typically found annually, with a typical number of up to 10 each year.
From November 9-17, the "Pułtusk 2024 Meteorite Search" took place in the forests near the Pułtusk meteorite fall area. Forty searchers signed up, and a total of 11 Pułtusk meteorites were found! Watch the report from the search!
