API Governance: What is it and why does it matter?
API Governance is the task of managing an API landscape, i.e. managing a set of APIs that often are produced and owned by groups and teams that have some level of autonomy and independence.
The goal of API governance is to improve or maximize the value of the API landscape.
API Governance can be regarded as being similar to API product management, only that in case of API governance, the product is the entire API landscape. In this presentation, we look at typical scenarios where API governance comes into play, and we also look at typical challenges for managing individual APIs, and entire API landscapes.
