Have you ever stopped doing something because it wasn’t perfect? Me too!!!
Don't wait until you are perfect! Easy to say now!
If I'm being totally honest, this used to happen all. of. the. time! I was a perfectionist and it stopped me so many times for trying new things, enjoying new things, doing things... basically living.
I still like to do a good job at what I do but I don't usually have that wall stopping me from attempting to do something that I am not sure how/if it will work out. I am more inclined to jump in with curiosity instead.
I also have a very experimental side. A side that craves and loves new adventures and loves to dabble in odd and interesting things. It is so lovely to let this side shine more. As a result, creativity is allowed to flow again. Being creative means doing things outside of the box and doing things differently. I LOVE DOING THIS!
I think this is my most favourite video I’ve ever made! It’s also oddly the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt and oddly probably the least triggering for anyone else.
I love love love music. However, It’s very much right or wrong to me. Either you’re on the right note or you're not.
In this video I play on my flute, by ear, a song I haven’t figured out yet. And I have an a-ha moment as I’m playing.
This is THE most real-life lesson I think I have ever discovered making a video.
Did you find a parallel? Do you recognize the song?
Side note, doing something you love and surrendering to the experience allows you to flow into a trance. In this video when I start playing my flute you can see my eyes flutter in trance.
Much Love
