Gigout plays Gigout - "Grand Choeur dialogue"
/ vinyltovideo In this recording Eugene Gigout is heard playing his own famous piece "Grand choeur dialogué." This is possible thanks to Dr. Heinrich Weiss who in 1969 acquired the so called 'Britannic Organ,' a Welte Philharmonic Pipe Organ built for the ship but never installed due to war. Weiss later acquired music rolls from the Welte company which included this. The organ and music rolls today are held by The Museum für Musikautomaten in Seewen, Switzerland.
