Be Aware: Some Outlet Testers Do NOT PROPERLY Test Dual Function Circuit Breakers
CAUTION: Some TESTERS DON’T properly TEST dual-function CIRCUIT BREAKERS! Frequently, a standard three-light tester cannot properly test a dual function AFCI/GFCI circuit breaker. These can incorrectly show that the dual function breaker does not trip when tested. In this video, I test six different electrical testers to determine if they can reliably test a dual function breaker. I will test the following brands of testers: Klein 3-light tester, Sperry 3-light tester, Kobalt 3-light tester, Klein RT-310, and the Ideal SureTest. The Klein RT-310 is the only tester thar I tested that can properly test a dual function circuit breaker each and every time.
