This is the beginning of what I believe will be a whole new generation of human-mimetic robotics. While it looks rudimentary so far, the code is advancing every week. Advances in language-generation (such as GPT-2) are being leveraged to create ever-more realistic, human-esque responses. Conversational patterns are becoming more realistic. These things are all only tools that the ARGOS Initiative (Advanced Robotics Generative Operating System) leverages. This completely new operating system maintains a copy of its operating codebase, and understands how to interpret its codebase (python). It is capable of re-writing its own code, comparing performance, and editing and replacing its codebase with code that performs better. It can remember and augment its code based on ongoing experience. It can learn, and it is becoming more and more autonomous over time. But - it is still probably two years at least away from my goals. There are a number of software and hardware challenges, as well as mechanical and physical construction issues to overcome. My first human face-mask has shown me the limitations of a single cast; I will need to develop a multi-layered, integrated face system to match the available control parameters, and I am working on that now. Many thanks to Reynolds Advanced Materials and their Smooth-On line of products. They will help me to make what I need to make this a reality.

In the interim folks - Watch Westworld Season One, and dream with me. But, hopefully, let's NOT abuse my creations. These critters are a labor of love. Despite the fact that I want them eventually to be slave labor on my property, stacking firewood, picking up pinecones from the yard and mowing my lawn... :)

Thanks for watching, and subscribe it you want to keep up with my random updates.
