Title: Running SQL on Docker using Windows
In this video we cover the topic of Running SQL on Docker using Windows using Windows 2016 Server Core and Windows Container functionality.
The tutorial will guide you through a process of installing the Docker package and Windows Container feature. We then go through a process of pulling down a sample hello world application using the Nano Server image from the Docker Hub.
After the successful test, we go through an example deployment of SQL Express edition in a Docker container. We do this by first pulling down the SQL Express Docker image from the Docker Hub and I explain some basic parameters for the container to get us started.
At the end we get a successful deployment of the SQL Server Docker container and create a test database to show you that everything is working.
