Green Man Wood Carving
This is my first ever face carving, it took a while to finish and I'm glad its done in the end. I cocked up the eyes, tried to rescue the piece and carved them a second time, the finish is OK but I think I will plan a better design next time.
The timber used in new seasoned Oak
walnut oil stain for background
Jacobean coloured Briwax was used for the overall finish
