Main steps of Better Sprinting 1.8 installation:
1. run Minecraft launcher
2. run the game and quit after a few seconds
3. close the launcher
4. select the 'run' command in the system menu and write '%appdata%' in its text dialog box, then click the 'ok' button
5. open the '.minecraft' folder
6. open the 'versions' folder and copy the '1.8' subfolder, then rename it to '1.8bet'
7. go to the '1.8bet' subfolder and:
rename '1.8.jar' to '1.8bet.jar'
rename '1.8.json' to '1.8bet.json'
8. open the '1.8bet.json' file with a text editor and replace "id":"1.8" with "id":"1.8bet", then save the file
9. open the '1.8bet.jar' file with WinRAR (or ZIP) archiver
10. open the downloaded Better Sprinting Mod 1.8 file with WinRAR (or ZIP) archiver and copy all the files to the opened window at the step 9
11. remove the 'META-INF' folder
12. run the launcher
13. click 'new profile', rename 'profile name' to e.g. 'bet' and select 'release 1.8bet' from the 'use version' list; save
14. make sure that the 'profile' is selected on 'bet'
15. click play
