Produced from 1972, the OM System cameras came in 2 ranges, the High End Pro ‘single digit’ OM-1 / 2 / 3 & 4 and the Mid-Range Consumer ‘two digit’ OM-10 / 20 / 30, etc, models. All use the OM Mount lenses.
So, the OM-2n is a professional level SLR camera introduced in 1979, an update on the OM-2 of 1975. It is the automatic version of the OM-1. It has an electronic shutter and exposure is either automatic (aperture priority) or metered-manual. The OM-2 was the first camera to feature OTF (Off The Film) metering (licensed from Minolta) and this was later adopted by other manufacturers. A popular choice in its day.
