The Olympus i Zoom 2000, ultra compact zoom, follows the usual APS spec: fully-automatic, with motor drive, autofocus and built-in flash (6 modes). It has an f:4.6-8.7, 31-625mm (equiv) Zoom Lens with shutter speeds of 1/8 - 1/500 Sec and a min focus of 0.6m. It uses a CR2 Battery & APS film cartridges
APS system cameras were jointly developed by the major manufacturers to be easier to use than conventional 35mm. They use an automatic load film cartridge. Introduced in 1996, the timing wasn’t right. Digital cameras started to become more popular in early 2000’s, and by 2004, manufacture of APS cameras ended. Film cartridges continued to be produced until 2011. However, out of date film is still available, and it can be processed by some specialist companies.
