In 1892, 400 households from Asahikawa relocated here and decided to build a village shrine.
And so the Asahikawa Shrine was born.
Japanese shrines and Taiwanese temples have similarities as they are both centers of people's beliefs.
Viewing the shrine in the snow adds another wonderful visual element, enhancing its charm.
