Weather conditions in some Australian wine growing regions this season are likely to be highly conducive to the development of botrytis bunch rot. New Zealand research investigating various cultural practices to reduce Botrytis risk in high pressure years found that using grape harvesters to shake the vines has resulted in a consistent 50% reduction in botrytis.
