Data to help producers manage new EU labelling requirements
Wines produced after 8 December 2023 that are bound for EU markets will require the dietary energy content on-label, plus nutritional information (and ingredient lists) either online or on-label. Having the data for the nutritional panel analysed by a laboratory is relatively expensive and the European Union allows the use of average values. This webinar presents average values developed by the AWRI and Affinty Labs for use in EU nutritional declarations for fats, proteins, sugars and carbohydrates, as well as a possible approaches for using average values for energy declarations.
