Best Beginner Hip & Chest Circles - How to Belly Dance 15 Minute Class is a beginning belly dancing lesson for getting the feel of belly dance with 2 classic belly dance moves—the small hip circle (also called an omi) and the chest circle. In this beginner belly dance workout (we actually work out with true belly dance moves), we begin with warm up isolations, then I teach you how to do the hip and chest circles and how to vary these basic belly dance moves with timing and hip accents. You'll learn the best technique for doing these beginner belly dance moves along with some challenges of adding layers like level changes and speed changes. I also teach simple concepts in the art of belly dance. I show you how to isolate your circles by always keeping your knees bent and how to match these simple moves to be in time with the belly dance rhythms Beledi and Chiftitelli. I also tell you how to make a belly dance hip scarf with our DIY videos. I encourage you to do our other belly dance tutorials and belly dance workouts after you do this beginner belly dance class.

About JENSUYA
I began my "training" in 1973 when most of my childhood was spent overseas immersed in other cultures. In 2002, I began belly dancing with classes, workshops, self-guided study, and more travel to the Middle East. Two years later, I and my husband, musician Robert Peak (yep, our beloved Drummer Bob), founded our music and dance ensemble, TarabRaqs. Since then, we have produced and performed in hundreds of live music and belly dance shows. With honors bestowed by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, the American Turkish Association, and two feature profiles on the U.S. Government-funded MBN, Middle East Broadcast Network, broadcasting to over 24 million viewers in the Middle East, we are on the forefront of Middle Eastern dance in America. Hamdullallah!
