Theme: Writing a simple theme

We start here with how to develop a theme for your paragraph; that single idea that focuses your writing into one unified piece. This is one approach that promises to help you hone in and focus your thoughts, depending on the audience you are addressing and the point of view you want to write about.
A simple theme describes some subject generally expressed in a single word, term, or phrase; and, embraces a view of its properties, qualities and effects.
Later we will give an example of a complex theme, which is a proposition,
or assertion, which relates to a simple subject; it is an exhortation to practice some particular virtue, or take some specific action, or to avoid some particular vice, or deed; or, it is the proving of some truth. See the video entitled, the proposition.
