When charged up after taking significant damage, the AoE will detonate and deal massive damage as well as the slow debuff. Destroy these bugs quick with crush and ice damage in order to not allow them a long fight. The longer the fight goes, the more miserable it becomes. They spew 5 slow balls which seek and home on the Revenant.
