Can you get a true 1:1 macro shot without an expensive dedicated macro lens? In this video, I test two budget-friendly solutions for extreme close-ups: the Vivitar Close-Up Macro Lens Set and Macro Extension Tubes.
Using the theory explained in the first part of the video, I compare the results shot with a zoom lens on a Full-frame Pyxis 6K and a prime lens on s35 Blackmagic Production camera. We'll see which setup actually delivers desired results and look at image magnification ratios. Let's find out whether 'macro filters' actually give you a real macro image.
