How to Replace an O2 Sensor - Error Code P0153
For the past couple of months, my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's check engine light has been coming on and going off. Each time, there is the same error code P0153. Error code P0153 is an issue with the O2 Sensor in Bank 2 Sensor 2.
Oxygen sensors determine the amount of oxygen in the exhaust. While this is not necessarily detrimental to the vehicle, changing these sensors will maintain efficiency of the system.
