Machu Picchu, Peru
Machu Picchu contains the historic ruins which were built by the Inca civilisation. Located in the Andes Mountains, the site was built and occupied between the 15th and 16th Century. It is located at an elevation of 2,350 metres and remained lost to time until it was discovered in the early 20th Century.
