Born and raised in White Plains, NY, Monica Michelle is a Novelist, Entrepreneur, award winning Realtor and an all-around businesswoman. Business and leadership have been a driving force of Monica's endeavors throughout her life. At early adulthood, she successfully opened and operated a Nail Salon before completing her studies and moving on to Human Resources management in the Financial Services Industry. Monica holds a BS and MS in Psychology after attending Norfolk State University and Iona College.
Over the years, Monica founded such businesses as Shopaholics, Inc., a personal concierge and errand company, Brown Eyed Beauties (BEB), a bi-monthly brunch series geared toward the cultivation of friendships and fellowship for African American women. BEB quickly morphed into a non-profit organization that champions for disadvantaged women.
In 2010, Monica penned her first novel, Lucky, No.5, a contemporary women's fiction novel about a single woman's pursuit at finding love. Lucky was published in 2013 by her own Publishing House, Novelista Publishing LLC which offers mainstream Women and Children novels.
Today, Monica is an award winning Associate Broker/Realtor for Better Homes & Gardens Realty in NY and the owner of THD Homes LLC a Real Estate Investment Group. She has over 18 years of professional experience in Real Estate and 26 in Human relations and customer engagement.
With over a decade of enjoying cigars as her method of relaxation, Monica has a profound appreciation for the camaraderie this luxury has offered to her.
