Route coverage analysis
Demonstration of an enhancement to our coverage analysis capability: Route coverage analysis with a KML file.
Our existing coverage analysis feature works with CSV files to show covered points. It has been extended by request to support KML/KMZ routes so you can import the route and quickly establish coverage along it with numerical metrics.
In the demo, a VHF DMR network is deployed to cover the A57 Snake Pass in England. This famous route is notorious for accidents and is also difficult for communications due to the winding narrow valleys.
Deployable 5m tall repeaters are deployed on the hills overlooking the route to provide above 90% coverage.
