Satellite coverage planning on ATAK
Demonstration of Satellite coverage planning in ATAK.
This capability uses the CloudRF Satellite API to test for line of sight to a Satellite. In the demo, a Geo-stationary Satellite near the middle east is tested to New York where it has a low angle.
Using a GPU, the coverage is quickly computed and returned to the phone as a small PNG image which is overlaid in ATAK. This is much more efficient than trying to do 1e6 LiDAR path loss calculations on the phone.
