In this episode of the Sidcourse, we take a look at the Final Fantasy VII Remake and how we have a collectively shared nostalgia for the game. When it comes to complex memories, patterns are formed over large areas of the brain with multiple patterns over subsequent signals. So, when a familiar signal, whether it's a person's name, a colour, a melody perhaps; our brain facilitates the communication to other neurons and begin responding with firing patterns. Our brains don't retrieve memories, they are, in fact, recreated in real-time by complex neural activity using existing trace pathways.

The player plays as Cloud Strife and saves the world with the help of Aeirth, Barett, Tifa and friends. With many players considering it one of the best ever, along with as their favourite game of all time.
