In this ECG Made Super Easy Video, we are going to show you 2nd Degree Heart Block which is also known as the Second Degree AV block.
The 2nd degree heart block, which is also known as the second degree AV block is a condition where there is intermittent non-conducted P waves in the ECG. This is a very important concept. We tried to make it very simple and easy to understand in this video. There are two types of 2nd degree heart block. These are Mobitz type 1 and Mobitz type 2 heart blocks. The Mobitz type 1 is where there is progressive prolongation of the PR intervals followed by non-conducted P waves. In the Mobitz type 2 heart block, the PR intervals are constant. We have discussed in details the findings of 5 ECGs here showing various patterns of the 2nd degree heart blocks. We also showed you how to differentiate the 2nd degree heart block type 1 vs type 2.
