In this video we are going to show you how to perform Ultrasound guided vascular access | IV access | IV cannulation.
Vascular access sometimes can be challening and difficult. However, ultrasound makes the life very easy for us. In this video, we will show you how to get iv access with ultrasound.
Many asks me how to get vascular access with ultrasound machine and is there any vascular access ultrasound course. Well, there are many courses around. However, the most important thing is to understand the principles very well and practise on vascular access ultrasound phantoms and real life patients. To start with we will show you some animations for ultrasound guided cannulation. Once you are comofrtable with the technique, you may attend some ultrasound guided iv insertion training. Honestly speaking, ultrasound guided iv cannulation is very easy. There are two techniques:
1.Off line technique
2.In line technique
You may use the same technique for ultrasound guided arterial line placement, central venous line, PICO line, PICC line, VasCath line etc. Same technique needs to be kept in mind during the peripheral nerve block too.
