Alec Waid explains some of the new gun laws in Florida and where one is legally able to bring their concealed firearm.

So even though the requirements in Florida have been relaxed as it relates to carrying a concealed firearm and whether or not you actually need a license or permit to do so, it is still illegal to bring a gun into prohibited places. Those include bars, schools, colleges, and universities. So even though you don't need a license to carry a gun, you can still get arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for bringing a gun into a place. That can carry with it jail time or probation or a mixture of the two. So even though you don't need that license anymore to carry that concealed firearm, make sure you're being careful about where you bring it because you can still get arrested and taken to jail.
