Workshop on PSIM by S M Sanzad Lumen, Organized by the IICT, RUET, & volunteered by IEEE RUET SB
For academic and research purposes, we often need to use simulation software to simulate any model. And in this case, first of all, we have to know how to use that software. To help you regarding this, a series workshop on “Advanced Softwares for ICT” will be organized by the Institute of Information and Communication Technology, RUET, and volunteered by IEEE RUET Student Branch from 3rd February 2021 to 10th February 2021. The following simulation software is going to be discussed throughout the whole workshop- LaTEx, COMSOL, MATLAB (Simulink), PSS®E, Python, PowerSIM, PSpice, CST, HFSS, FEKO, ExpressPCB.
Maintaining the continuity our 5th workshop of the series workshop on "Advanced Softwares for ICT" is on PSIM. S M Sanzad Lumen, Graduate Assistant, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia is going to be the speaker of this workshop on 7th February from 3.00 pm-5.00 pm.
PSIM is an Electronic circuit simulation software package, designed specifically for use in power electronics and motor drive simulations but can be used to simulate any electronic circuit. Developed by Powersim, PSIM uses nodal analysis and the trapezoidal rule integration as the basis of its simulation algorithm.

Speaker Short Bio: Mr. S. M. Sanzad Lumen received his B.Sc. degree in EEE from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Bangladesh. His research interest includes Power System Protection, DC Microgrid, Solar Photovoltaic System, DC Transmission & Distribution System, Smart Grid and Renewable Energy. Currently, he is pursuing his M.Sc. degree at Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia and conducting research on DC Microgrid Protection.
