I love using games and speech therapy! And not just to keep kids occupied either. Sometimes we get so caught up during therapy and practicing the skills that we forget to make it functional.
There is so much great communication that happens while playing games! If we can practice their speech or language skill during the game, we can make that skill translate into every day communication more quickly. Plus, you don’t need to prep and plan a fancy therapy activity.
Just know what skill you want to work on and let the students pick a game.
