OpenMPT first try with F-Zero SNES audio samples!
Here's my first attempt to create a new song for a F-Zero SNES hack!
You can hear that I used only samples of the original F-Zero game's music.
I used OpenMPT, an old school music editor, very easy and handy to use.
Indeed, thanks to this software that I didn't know at all, I managed to take it in hand and do this in just a few hours.
There are some very practical things like CTRL+Enter which allows you to read the music "line by line" (frame by frame ?), I used this function a lot, I find it too practical and fast to get an idea of what it looks like, and edit it on the fly!
I'm happy with the result, because it's also the first time in my life that I'm composing music for a specific purpose (I've already done a few shits for fun with my mouth and a microphone, but nothing that was supposed to be "used for something").
