New Adventures in Skyrim - Glamek Ep9. Finally. He embraces The Hunt.
Hi there Adventurer, it’s Chris AKA NAS and today we join Glamek as he continues Adventuring through Skyrim.
Glamek starts off mulling over the prior night’s events and his trip into Whiterun. His negative feelings were somewhat offset by Cami’s spirit’s being raised, so it was overall a good trip...well, as good of a trip as can be expected. Then he mulls over his dreams lately, the wolf dreams.
He hunts. He feels something inside (2:00) and tries to. Reach it? Feel it? Focusing on the need and DESIRE to protect his pack and defend Cami, he prays to Hircine and feels the rush.
Finally he can see things a bit more clearly. He is a werewolf. The rush floods over him (3:25) and he embraces it, overwhelmed at first, blindly and violently attacking the giant near his home, and Cami. Slowly, things start to come more into focus and he excerts some control, deciding to head to to the camp where he’d been wounded prior. He follows his scent, fighting wildlife and anything else along the way.
He feeds. There is a brief moment when he encounters a group of bandits and he fights to leave an alchemist be, as she didn’t seem to be a combatant, but actually a victim. Even Silverhand show up (6:40) but Glamek has already learned to identify them as the most dire threat and he dispatches them. Then he sets upon the camp.
After he’s finished there, he heads home, only to engage in a mental back and forth with Hircine (11:10) over whether or not to engage some hostiles. Hircine wins. Finally snapping back to humanity (16:05), he accepts Hircine and the Hunt and decides to head to Shimmermist Cave (22:05), as Cami reminded him about this morning.
From 25:00 – 35:30 is skippable, in that due to a dumb quest bug, I had to die to reset the quest. However, I encourage you to watch, it’s still FUN!
They arrive at the main room (38:40) and enter, losing MANY members once a DWARVEN CENTAURIAN awakens, so much so that for another time that day, Glamek forces himself to change into Hircine’s Chosen. To Glamek’s surprise and pleasure, the Adventurer doesn’t attack and they part ways. Upon leaving the cave, (43:40), he encounters ANOTHER Adventurer who helps Cami and himself before parting ways, and then Glamek and Cami settle in for the night.
