This element’s name comes from the Greek word “kryptos”, which means the “hidden one”.
Krypton is naturally present in the air, but it is 20 times less abundant than neon.
Krypton is not found in any minerals and only tiny amounts of it can be found in the air.
Sir William Ramsey won a Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discovering the noble gases.
