How To Quickly: Clone Yourself with Sony Vegas
To quickly clone yourself with Sony Vegas, watch this video or do the following:
1. Record yourself doing something on one side of the screen and then react to a completely invisible version of yourself on the other side.
2. Walk over to the other side of the screen and be that other version of yourself chatting to the version of yourself that you just were.
3. Stop recording and transfer the video to your computer.
4. Drag the file onto your sony vegas timeline.
5. Chop off the beginning of end of your video where you are fiddling with the camera.
6. Chop out the middle part where you walk from one side of the scene to the other ready to take on your other roll.
7. Drag your second act down on the timeline under your first act.
8. Apply a rectangular mask around the entire side of the screen you occupy in the first act.
9. Match the clips up so your characters are talking or reacting to each other at the appropriate times.
10. Chop off the edges of the videos on the timeline that stick out and drag all layers to the beginning of the timeline.
11. Add a feather to your mask to hide the lighting changes.
12. Render your video
