Photoshop CS6 Tutorials for Beginners | How to Create Natural Light Rays
In this Photoshop tutorial, I will show you how to quickly and easily add rays of light to an image! I will be using Adobe Photoshop CS6 throughout this video, but any recent version will work.
There are many ways to make light rays. This is the most effective and most easiest way that I have found to do this.
You can make your pictures look more dramatic with this technique.
The most important thing to remember when adding light rays to your images is that the rays must come from a light source to look realistic. I have made two examples for you to understand this concept.
This technique is very simple:
1. Open your picture
2. Create a new layer
3. Make a gradient effect with Gradient Tool
4. Desaturate the gradient effect
5. Add a Gaussian Blur
6. Add contrast with Levels tool
7. Delete some light parts to make it look realistic
8. Bring down the opacity
Done. Save your work, or make a little more adjustment with Levels, or opacity.
