"Suomi on hyvä maa" - Finnish Song [Sanat] + [Lyrics]
A song written and composed by Urpo Jokinen based on the words of Adolf Ehrnroth (pictured). Ehrnoth fought in WWII and achieved the rank of Colonel (later promoted to Infantry General). He became known to the Finnish public long after the war for his unapologetic nationalist statements and him bringing awareness to the plight of war veterans. He is best known for rousing defensive will with his words; "Finland is a good country, it is the best country for us Finns. It is worth defending, and its sole defender is the Finnish people."
