WB Metra & Unit Covered Hopper Train @ Route 59 Station
To wrap up this long railfanning day in the CHI area, here's a video of an Aurora bound Metra, along with a westbound unit hopper train right behind it at the Route 59 train station on the BNSF Line. After getting all of the action over at Naperville, I decided to come here again to see if I could get anything else before calling it a night. Well, I got 2 clear signals for 2 WBs during my brief time here. I knew that one of them was going to be a Metra as I had saw on the Metra tracker, but wasn't 100% sure about the other. After getting the Metra arriving & leaving the station, the second westbound in question ended up being a unit covered hopper train with UP & CSX GE power. Pretty solid way to end a long day of railfanning around the windy city. As always, enjoy the video!
