How to Create Rotary Axis Output (4th axis) in the PRO Version of the 2L Engraving Software. This Step 6 of the Tutorial shows how to setup and create the output G-Code or NC file that is used by the cnc machines to machine or engrave components using a rotary axis. The g-code can be used by either cnc milling machines (vertical or horizontal machining centers or multi-axis lathes). The 2L inc. engraving software allows engraving on the outer diameter (O.D.) of a rod or cylinder and essentially unrolls the cylinder on the workspace to allow easily laying out the text and other geometry to be engraved.
