La Muerte del Ángel (Piazzola)
From the three-part Serie del Ángel by Astor Piazzola, La Muerte del Ángel (1962) is the intermediate piece in a work written by Piazzola as music for Tango del Ángel, a play by Alberto Rodríguez Muñoz, where an angel heals the souls in a blighted barrio in Buenos Aires. It is performed here by senior cellists at Perlman Music Program on 29 July 2022, Shelter Island, New York. Cellists: Laura Navasardian, Andrew Chun, Noam Ginsparg, Sean Yu.
