If you are having trouble with a faulty, stuck or dead turnout, then it might be the decoder - or it might be the turnout mechanism. This video shows a fix to the Märklin 74490 or 74491 turnout mechanisms that might solve your issue. Be careful you might damage your equipment and it may become in operable.
WARNING: The fix makes the turnout mechanism usable ONLY in digital operations. If you are using analogue do not use this fix.
