Should you (NOT) train longer than 45 minutes? Check yourself
What would be the best length of workout?

If you are a beginner, practicing even 2 hours at a time will still take some time to progress. Since we are not yet used to the load, and there is no accumulated fatigue from past workouts, and the weights are small, a beginner will simply not be able to handle the weight or training volume with which athletes with 2-3 years of experience train. Therefore, recovery will be better and faster. But soon such progress will stop. And then, many advise to train for 40 minutes and there will be no overload, the progress will go again.

Is it so and why does it happen? It depends on what exactly we do in training, how we sleep, recover, how often we train, what and how much we eat.

About the duration of training, if you have been training for 2-3 months, 3 times a week for 2 hours and progressed, but the result is up, then you can either increase the rest days or reduce the amount of training per week. And yes, you will start progressing again if you cut your workout to the conventional 45 minutes. Since there will be fewer approaches.

For mass training, the optimal training time without considering warm-up will be different for everyone. For example, when we are a beginner and we do 5-6 exercises according to the fullbody method, and in each of them 3-5 approaches.

Let one of the exercises is pull-ups with own body weight. Sooner or later we will reach this number, let it be 15-20-25 times, and there will be a question of load progression, reduce the number of repetitions and complicate, for this we start to use weights on the belt. Rest time between approaches and training for recovery will increase, that is, and training will drag on longer, if you do not change anything. How much time to train - we will learn in the video.
